Prisons overloaded

ANKARA (DİHA) - According to statistics by the Ministry of Justice General Directorate of Prisons, there are 127,831 are incarcerated in prisons, including 2,317 children, in spite of around 90,000 capacity of prisons total.
The number of prisoners without verdict is stated as 36,462 and that of convicted prisoners as 91,369. Of the 36,462 prisoners without verdict 4,050 are incarcerated related to "terrorist" crimes, with a total of 8,190 prisoners incarcerated of charges related to "terrorism".
