ANKARA (DIHA) – Health and Social Workers Trade Union (SES) announced that 10 thousand children are living on the street, 6 million children are being forced to work while Turkey ready to celebrate 23 April Children Holiday.
SES made a press release related with 23rd April. “Children in Turkey are living in bad conditions under general standard in the world, in addition they are being sent to the prison for sweaty back or throwing stone” said in the press release of SES.
“10 thousands children are living on the streets, 6 million children between 6 to 18 are being forced to work, more than one million children are handicapped and they cannot reach public education except 3 percent of them and 33 out of 100 children have malnutrition. No toleration for Turkey’s own children. Holiday is not just for a handful rich people’s children but also for every children lives in Turkey. Real holiday means that each children can reach health, proper education and social security rights. Otherwise there is no reason to celebrate holiday for children.”
