ISTANBUL (DIHA) –The witnesses of Taksim massacre that 37 workers had been killed in 1977, will be gather on May Day in Taksim. Confederation of the Revolutionary Workers Trade Unions (DISK) will get witnesses together after 32 years from massacre.
DISK made an announcement about celebration schedule of the International Labour Day-May Day.
“Celebrating May Day in Taksim square is not enough. The best thing to do about that is to reveal the dark forces behind of the massacre on May Day 1977 when we lost 37 workers” DISK general secretary Tayfun Gorgun said during the announcement of DISK.
He also added that there will be the families of victims during the celebration and walk in front of march cortege. He also called everybody to attend the meeting on May Day.
