ISTANBUL (DIHA) – “The Monument of 11 April” as known the monument for the victims of genocide re-published after 91 years break due to memorize Armenian intellectuals who had been killed beginning the genocide occurred on 24 April 1915. “The Monument of 11 April” had been published in 1919, 4 years after the genocide as known “Great disaster” by Armenians.
The book named “The Monument of 11 April” was taken from dusty shelf fallowing 91 year break. There were allegedly 1.5 million Armenian who forced to exile from Turkey on 24 April 1915. During the deportation lots of Armenian intellectuals were also killed. Teodik was one of them and he died because of injuries during the forced exile act. Hrant Dink has been also known as Armenian’s last victims of genocide in Turkey.
“The Monument of 11 April” had been published in order to memorize the victims 91 years ago. The Belge Publication re-published the book again to memorize the victims and also Hrant Dink.
Here are some of Armenian intellectuals who had been killed in 1915 placed in the book; Kirkor Zohrab, Harud Yunşahrikyan, Karekin Çakalyan, E.Agnuni, Diran Kelekyan, Siamanto, Hrant Melkom Gürciyan, Taniyen Varujan, Rupen Zartaryan, R.Sevak, Sarkis Minasyan, Dr.Nazaret Dalavaryan, Dr. Grabet Paşayan Khan, Levon Larents, Simpat Pürat, Hamp. Hampartsumyan, Ardaşes Harut Yunyan, Parseğ Şahbaz, Jak Sayabalyan, Kirkor Torosan, Keğam Pareğyan, Dikran Çögüryan, Şavarş Krisyan, Krikor Ysayan, Armen Doryan, Aris İsraelyan, Mihran Tabakyan, Hagop Terziyan.
