ISTANBUL (DIHA) – Turkish Army Forces (TSK) is forcing PKK to act against soldier, since any peaceful struggle of Kurds cannot recognize by politics or authorities’ said historian and writer Ayse Hur.

Historian and writer Ayse Hur explained that democratic Kurdish struggle is not find a way to survive for blocking legal ways of the democracy by the states implementation and Turkish Army Forces (TSK) actions against Kurds. According to Hur, these act against Kurdish politic struggle forced the Kurds to support current armed path.

Ayse Hur who spoke to DIHA correspond also emphasized and criticized the TSK’s operations against Kurdish politicians; “Turkish politic system ignored Kurdish politicians and their democratic struggle. Turks only tried to assimilate and destroy the Kurdish political struggle instead of negotiate with them. Dominate politic approach finally became useless and helpless while even passive force of Kurds are becoming supporter of Kurdish struggle policy. Consequently Kurdish politicians, people and armed forces began to think that armed struggle is the right way to gain Kurdish identification. I believe that the PKK’s existence is becoming more legitimate since the dominated approach in effect.”

Good Kurds bad Kurds

“Politics Kurds need to be destroyed according to the Justice and Development Party (AKP)” said Hur regarding operations against Kurds. She also added that AKP’s narrow minded approach is also preventing development of Turkish democracy. On the other hand TSK’s aggressiveness spurs PKK and creates reason to fight back against soldier. Even though democratic opening procedure, oppressions and suppressions to eliminate, destroy and assimilate Kurds just only works for making Kurds more distrustful and uncomfortable with the government and generally system.”
