DİYARBAKIR (DİHA)- The excavation in Lice to find remaining of Seyithan Ulumaskan and his father Sadık Ulumaskan who disappeared in 1997 fallowing being taken into custody by JİTEM in Lice district of Diyarbakır. There are bones found during the excavation which based on witnesses’ testimonies about missings. Father Sadık Ulumaskan’s son who showed up in the excavation said some of findings most probably belong to his father.
Father and son Ulumaskan had been taken into custody by JİTEM just before they disappeared in 1997 when incidents of missing were on the agenda in the region. According to allegations of witnesses they had been buried around the Dibek Village in Lice district of Diyarbakır. And finally the prosecutor made a decision to dig the mentioned area a couple days ago. And now there are bones and materials, which presumably belong to father and son Ulumaskan, found. Presumably the bodies had been buried after covering plastic cover. End of the excavation, findings have been sent to the Medical Forensic Institution for DNA examination.
Son of Ulumaskan İsmail Ulumaskan said that my father was using silver dental prosthesis and there were dental prosthesis found during the excavation. There are materials also most probably belong to my father.
On the other hand doctors also marked that the bones might belong to two persons one of young and other is old.. Chair of İHD Diyarbakır Branch Muharrem Erbey and attorney Serdar Çelebi who participated in the excavation as observers also pointed out that these bones might belong to father and son Ulumaskan.
