DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) –As an independent women association Local Agenda 21 City Council Women Assembly’s Diyarbakır branch and “Stop the Violation” Psychological and Formal Support Centre have received 120 women who asked for psychological support in last 8 months in Diyarbakır.
Women Centre’s manager Müzeyyen Akıncı conveyed the report contented of last 8 months’ applications in Diyarbakır. According to her explanation in this context of the project named “Stop the Violation”, which was begun 8 months ago, 120 women applied to the centre. 97 of applications were about physical, verbal, sexual and economical violation and all of them received support from formal counselor. 12 of them went to court for divorce, temporary injunction, honor killings and 2 incest. The most applications were about violation and divorce. Final report about the project will be announced in advance.
