DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) – 5 hundreds of women writers and intellectuals will be attended in forum about Kurdish problem. Common wish of women’ who are going to put on white dresses, will be to reach a common approach over Kurdish problem. The forum will be held in Diyarbakır on May 31st.
DTP Women Assembly member Selma Söker gave information about Women Meeting. According to information obtained her statement women will demand peace and condemn ongoing operations against DTP. Women from cities in the region and women organizations will appear in the meeting. Goal for women will be making clear that peace and democracy will come with and through women
White will be symbol for peace
On the other hand white dressed women will also emphasize, that women and peace have never been thought differently, since conflicts and wars have been effecting on women’ life.
Besides Kurdish women there will be other women from feminist movement, politicians, writers and women organizations.
Ceren Women Association manager Necla Korkmaz also made a statement to call women to participate in and contribute to reach the peace in the mass Women Meeting in Diyarbakır.
On the other hand Democratic and Free Women Movement or DÖKH member Gülay Söker said that we have a word to say, the power to develop solution. According to her evaluation about coming mass Women Meeting that this meeting will be the place where Turkish and Kurdish women who dare to speak up about peace will meet.
