ISTANBUL (DIHA) – Saturday Mothers took to the streets for the 277th time in front of Galatasaray High School and criticized PM R. T. Erdogan’s speech in Bosnia-Herzogovina.

Erdogan condemned the Srebrenitsa massacre and demonstrated empathy for the relatives of the victims. Saturday Mothers call on Erdogan to practice that same sensitivity in Turkey for the disappeared People.

Pervin Buldan, Deputy of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and widow of businessman Kemal Buldan, a victim of an unsolved political murder, addressed the participants: “Governments are deaf and blind to our struggle to find perpetrators and bring them to court. We need to practice peace in Turkey. The Kurdish problem is the most important problem blocking democracy. Violence is increasingly spreading. Somebody has to stop it.”

Then, Buldan Elif Babur, Member of Human Rights Association, gave a speech and rhetorically asked Erdogan: “Which country you are governing?” Referring to Erdogan’s speech in Srebrenitsa, she goes on: “You are showing empathy to 775 victims of crimes by unknown perpetration in Srebrenitsa. How about your and our country? More than 17,000 victims and their families have been waiting for justice for years in Turkey. The Prime Minister has two faces with no sincerity. We are asking for the 277th time; find our relatives, bring those responsible to court.
