NEWSCENTRE (DIHA) - Protests against the abuse of dead bodies of HPG members go on tirelessly. Keler in Sulaimaniya, Dicle district of Diyarbakir, Dargecit district of Mardin, Batman and Van are the states where demonstrations are taking place.
Human Rights Organization's (IHD) 25th anniversary was yet another forum for people to condemn police brutality. Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) held a press meeting and sit-in in Dargecit, IHD held a press conference in Van, shop owners closed the shutters all day in Dargeçit, hundreds of people took to the streets in Sulaimaniya, IHD members and relatives of the disappeared gathered in Van, Batman and Diyarbakir to condemn the abuse of dead bodies.
Kurdish resentment of security forces' abusing the dead bodies is brewing. The demonstrators, marchers and activists demand of the government is clear: "Respect the dead."
