Kurds in Dörtyol are still under pressure
NEWSCENTRE (DİHA) The Committee from Human Rights Association (IHD) released the report over lynch attempts against Kurds in Dortyol. According to IHD’s report, Kurds are still under pressure of ultra nationalists in Dörtyol. IHD also demanded an official investigation on M. Celalettin Lekesiz, Governor of Hatay, as well as Fadıl Keskin, Mayor of Dörtyol who allegedly exercises discrimination against Kurds and also provides vehicles to transport people to lynch attempt. The report will be sent to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
Boycott Front works
Works of the Boycott Front against referendum of amendment of the constitution continue. Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) held several meetings in Muş and its districts. BDP co-chair Selahatting Demirtaş addressed the crowd during the meetings: “This amendment is a racist amendment and also based on September 12 coup d’etat’s constitution. The AKP administration did just some patch to make it convenient for their own interest. There is no benefit for Kurds or suppressed people in this constitution. Our answer for this deceit will certainly be “boycott”. We are not going to vote for referendum.”
Funeral for members of HPG in Batman
Two of three members of People Defense Force (HPG), who lost their life during the attack on Eruh District Security Directorate on Monday night, were taken to Diyarbakır from Batman. Thousands of people and hundreds of vehicles welcomed Filiz Tabu (Sılav Amed) and Ali Aksu (Serdem Fedekar)’s coffins and sent them to bid farewell in Diyarbakır. BDP executives and deputies were also attended the ceremonies.
Unknown murders asked PM Erdogan
Hasip Kaplan, deputy of BDP, sent a written question over unknown murders between 1993 and 1997 to PM R. T. Erdoğan. Kaplan said in his official letter that the relevant Ministry or Presidential institutes should answer if unknown murders were a state policy or not. Retired Vice Admiral Atilla Kıyat Recently admitted that the unknown murders during 1993 and 1997 were a state policy at that period.
Mayor Kavak taken into custody
Zeki Kavak, Mayor of Duruca of BDP in Mardin, was taken into custody. The reason for detain is still uninformed. Kavak is being held in Ankara Police Department.
‘The time bomb found in Dersim is sort of rehearsal for mass massacre of Kurds’
Diyarbakır Mayor Osman Baydemir alleged that the time bomb found in Dersim must be sort of rehearsal for mass massacre of Kurds. A time bomb was found in Dersim city hall yesterday and it was alleged that the bomb was set to explode during Baydemir’s speech, but its battery died before the meeting.
