ANKARA (DİHA) - Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Mersin MP Ertuğrul Kürkçü proposed an investigation commission within the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in order to prevent human rights violations, torture and degrading treatments in prisons and to determine the situation of the victims. Kürkçü listed the possible complaints as follows: "Undressing of the prisoners upon arrival, bodily search with physical force, physical force exceeding the purposes of search, provocation and threats. Preventing delivers of the Publications in Kurdish and asking translator's fee from prisoners."
Kürkçü added it is a physical and psychological torture to keep the prisoners charged with aggravated life sentence all alone in a cell 23 hours a day.
Replying journalists' questions Kürkçü also said: "As far as I see the justice is the most violating state agency in terms of citizen and human rights."
