MUŞ (DİHA) – Davut Yıldırım was a soldier in Göneyli troop in Nikosia-Cyprus and according to allegation of his commanders he committed suicide by shooting himself in head. According to brother Cevdet Yıldırım his brother Davut Yıldırım’s head was crushed. Family applied to the İHD Muş branch to receive legal help for denouncement about troop.

Allegedly 22 year-old soldier Davut Yıldırım had been killed during his service in Göneyli troop in Nikosia-Cyprus instead of committed suicide. His brother Cevdet Yıldırım said that, “we spoke one day ago before his death. There was no sign about committing suicide. Besides when I saw my brother I couldn’t believe my eyes. His head was smashed and there was no bullet trace in head.”

Family and İHD Muş branch are going to demand autopsy in order to make clear the reason of soldier’s death.

Cevdet Yıldırım explaines; I saw my brother’s body even though prevention of authorities. According to commanders’ statements he had shot himself in the head by one bullet. But there was no bullet trace in his head. In fact back side of his head was crushed, right eye turned black and blue. Blood was coming from his ears. Besides these, there is no report had been prepared by army authority about his so-called committing suicide.

Autopsy will make the allegations clear

DTP, mayor and İHD Muş Branch have interferences to prove the allegation but they have been threatened by the commander. Commander said ‘take and burry the body otherwise I will burry you next to him’ according to father Ahmet Yıldırım.

Chair of İHD Muş branch Vedat Şengül confirmed father’s and brother’s saying about body’s situation.

Autopsy is being waited to make clear the reason of soldier’s death.
