NEWSCENTRE (DİHA) – Discussions about Kurdish problem are getting increase and PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan is pointed as interlocutor by politicians, businessman and activists. Head of Diyarbakır Commercial and Industry Chamber M. Galip Ensarioğlu said that the State cannot ignore Öcalan’s being leadership of majority Kurdish people.

Lately Freedom and Democracy Party or ÖDP Adana Province Secretary Murat Umay, Human Rights Association or İHD Adana branch chair Mustafa Bağçiçek, People’ Republican Party or CHP Adana Province head Serdar Seyhan and Head of Diyarbakır Commercial and Industry Chamber M. Galip Ensarioğlu evaluated the Kurdish problem.

‘Positive atmosphere has to be turned into advantage’

Head of Diyarbakır Commercial and Industry Chamber M. Galip Ensarioğlu; I believe the Road Map that Öcalan is going to explain will be opener for the way to solve the problem by democratic way. You cannot ignore PKK and Öcalan. If there is any contribution about solution, authorities have to account on these. These contributions might be formal or informal. No one have luxury to forget the fact that this country has been in conflict condition for 25 years and 40 thousands of our people have lost during this term. All country’s energy has being wasted for 25 years. This is not the best way to be powerful and peaceful country. CHP has to be accounted on this solution process firstly and also DTP is the essential part of possible solution.

Head of CHP Adana Province Serdar Seyhan; Solution of Kurdish problem is very important part of democracy struggle in Turkey and sort of test paper. There is no economic and social development in Turkey without domestic peace. Turkey is in a conflict term with its army and citizens. Democratic expansion might make peace possible, only. The State has to evaluate cons and pros. And then NGOs, army authorities, civil will and contra parts of this problem have to be involved in peace process. That time to solve the problem might be possible. There will be no solution about Kurdish problem before democracy problem in Turkey is solved.

'Guerillas on the mountains have to be in politic and social life’

Secretary of ÖDP Adana Province Murat Umay; Turkey will face very important term in future days. KCK's extension decision for non-conflict term is important chance. The State has to take this advantage. The guns have to be silenced permanently, serious and healthy environment has to be provided, make sure about the condition for people who left the guns, such as life safety, having democratic rights and being in social life. In this point the most important part to speak peace is the DTP. The operations against DTP have to be stopped, dialog has to be improved with DTP. DTP is an essential part of the possible solution.

Head of İHD Adana branch Mustafa Bağçiçek; KCK’s decision about expanding non-conflict term until September first is an indicator for their sincerity. And now government’s steps are being waited such as to stop operations or to stop cross border shipping. No State has right to keep its citizens under threat because of the conflict term continue 25 years.
