PrintDIYARBAKIR (DIHA) – Soldier Ridvan Suren died suspiciously when he was on duty in Gendarmerie Commandership facilities in Ergani. According to the allegation, he was killed by another soldier whose name is unknown.
Ridvan Suren’s death was confirmed by Ergani State Hospital and his body sent to the Diyarbakir Military Hospital for autopsy. It was alleged that the military officials said that Suren was stabbed to death because of a scuffle with another soldier. Witnesses report that a gunshot was heard from outside.
In addition, soldiers have died under suspicious circumstances in increasing numbers recently. Their families have started collecting to investigate the circumstances of these deaths and to prosecute those responsible.
In a single year, 28 soldiers died under suspicious circumstances while only last month 4 deaths were reported.
