ANKARA (DİHA) – Trade Unionists Educators or Eğitim Sen’ march to Ankara from four different roads for collective agreement has been continuing despite police intervention.
Educators keep on marching to Ankara even though obstructions. They have been marching from Hakkâri, Edirne, Muğla and Trabzon.
Eğitim Sen General Secretary Mehmet Bozgeyik reminded police’ intervention accompanied smoke bombs in İstanbul and Van on late night hours and that 2 members including branch secretary had been taken into custody. Referring those interventions he said that these kinds of interventions are evidences proved the government’s oppressive policies on the labor class.
Bozgeyik emphasized that the march will continue despite of entire obstructions.By the way, marchers from Edirne arrived to Kocaeli, Hakkari branch of march arrived to Adana, marchers from Trabzon came to Samsun and finally Muğla marchers are already in Balıkesir.
Trade Unionists Educators’ march had faced police intervention in İstanbul when the Platform of the KESK İstanbul Branches members gathered in front of Galatasaray High School to send off the marchers to Ankara and wanted to march to Centre of Taksim. There were two members have been detained.
Trade Unionists will voice up their demands during the march such as collective agreement, discharge İLKSAN, justice for tax payer, day care for educator and fair and free education as well as democratic and scientific education for every one, justice for tax payer and day care for educator.
Trade unionists will march to the Education Ministry when they arrived to Ankara.
