PrintANKARA (DİHA) - Stating that committee of IMF which is in Turkey feels uneasiness about spending in the field of health, Orhan Odabasi, General Secretary of Turkish Doctors Union, said that IMF wanted removing the practise of Green Card which is given to poor citizens as help of health.
Turkish Doctors Union (TTB), General Practitionering Institute (GBE), which carries out works to secure specializing in the field of practitionering, held a press briefing about works of general councill which will be held on 27 May. Orhan Odabasi, General Secretary of Turkish Doctors Union, Ozen Asut, Chairman of TTB-GBT and Dr. Figen Sahbaz, Member of General Councill of TTB attended the press briefing.
' Village clinics must be activated'
Making call of participation for 2nd Common General Councill which will be realized 27 May 2006 in the beginning of his speech, Ozen, touched on problems of practitioners. Taking attenition that occupation of practitionering has become a field of specializing, Asut, said that they carry out works of training basing on willingness without support of state. Also touching upon the General Councill which they will realize and works they will carry out afterwards, Asut, identify their works as ' socializing services of health'. Also touching on problems in the field of health, Asut, said they aim activation of village clinics as an aslternative to house medicine.
Demand of IMF can't be accepted
Orhan Odabasi who started talking afterwards said that the 2nd General Councill which TTB-GBE will realize will also include intervention to problems running in the field of health, saying that the Project of Family Medicine put into practise by AK Party is deficient. Drawing attention to explanations of IMF about field of health, Odabasi, said that IMF wanted rescinding practise of green card. Showing reaction to this demand of IMF, Odabasi, said that '' IMF says that spending in the field of health has increased and wants it limited. Since there is no investment in the field of health what remains is to make cut off in health service. Also since receving medicines and similar spendings can not be cut, what left is what employees of health takes. IMF points out to aid of health given to poor and want green card lifted. This is not a state which can be accepted in the conditions of Turkey.
