İSTANBUL (DİHA) - Workers of Desan Shipyard organized in Limter-Is, had blocked road to take their payments which is not given for 2 and half months. The police cracked down on workers and detained many.
Workers of Desan who are in resistance for a week under the lead of Limter-Is Syndicate for their payments, which they could not take for 2 and half months, had blocked the road. Workers who gathered in front of Istanbul Shipyard by early morning had formed corteges and marched towards Dersan Shipyard. While vehicles had formed long lines in the Tuzla Shipyard Road because of the action, hundreds of workers crowding around had given support to workers' protest by clapses. The police who came to place of incidence had cracked down on workers by batons and tear gas to open the road. While many workers were detained during the cracking down, workers who insisted on not dispersing had wanted their friends released. Workers announced that they will rally towards Office of Kaimakam and police station unless their friends released. The protest is still continuing....
