İSTANBUL (DİHA) - 30 workers of Dersan who have been in resistance for 15 days for they have not taken their payments, and occupying the ship they worked at yesterday, were detained after police raid at midnight.
Workers who have continued their resistance by occupying the ship they worked in Dersan Shipyard were detained at yesterday by police raid. While it is not known whether workers are injured or not because the raid was made in the shipyard, 30 detained workers were sent to Sifa Police Station. 8 persons who were detained at yesterday morning and whose times of interrogation was extended 1 day by office of prosecutor, are still questioned at Tuzla Security Department.
Support continues through night
Talks were cut off after the employer stated he or she will pay money with bill at yesterday talks. The employer who prevented giving water and food to workers in resistance blocked way of workers with winch to prevent journalists to get news. The employer stepped in men of Ali Torlak, owner of Torlak Shipyard, and claimed to be member of Executive Councill of MHP to lift the container which journalists ascended on. As a result of reactions of people who came to support the resistance and journalists, lifting up the container was given up.
Members of Genel-Is, Deri-Is, Nakliyat-Is, Tekstil-Sen, ESP, EMEP, Alinteri, BDSP and Halkevleri who had waited in front of the door of shipyard till midnight had given support to workers with slogans.
Workers who were detained after police raid at midnight were expected to appear before prosecutor tomorrow.
