HATAY (DİHA) - Protesting the privatization of Iskenderun Port, the branch chairman of Port-Labor Syndicate Haşim Sevimli claimed that the government sold off the public institutions in merchant logic.

According to the written explanation, he objected the Port to be transferred for 36 years. He said the government sold off the public institution in an illogical manner and further stated those:" The privatization of the ports for a country is fairly disadvantageous. Because, the ports are strategic places playing an important role in a country's defense and security so they are indispensable and untransferable places." He claimed that they would display their democratic reaction against the privatization.
