ŞANLIURFA (DİHA) -Municipality-Work Union Chairman of Sanlıurfa Branch,Adem Sıltak,said that their members working for Adıyaman State Hospital and Adıyaman Municipality have been pressed to resign.

It was claimed that the companies conducting cleaning affairs in Adıyaman put pressure on 400 workers who work for Adıyaman Municipality and Adıyaman State Hospital so as not to affiliate with Municipality-Work Union.Municipality-Work Union Chairman of Adıyaman Branch Adem Saltık expressed that workers have been made to be non-union and defenceless since since 2003 when tried to be organized in Adıyaman.

Expressing that they started an endeavour a month ago to organize the labourers working at Adıyaman State Hospital,Sıltak recorded that they affiliated 100 of 135 workers who work for Altay Cleaning Company to the union..Sıltak who stated that workers dependent upon their union were under the pressure said ''While there is freedom of affilation to unions not only in the 51st item of Constitution but also in the items of legislation related with unions,our members are tried to be made to resign from union.On 5 October,our 3 friend's of labour contracts have been cancelled in an unjustified way.

19 workers turned back to their works

Stating 19 workers dismissed from work last year by Yeni Belde company have after a law struggle turned their work,Sıltak spoke in such a way that''We interviewed with Yeni Belde Company for Collective Labour Agreement.At the contact we finished 56 of 62 items of Agreement and we sent the rest of items to the Supreme Arbitration Board.
