DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) - Claiming that his right to be nominee in the First Regular Meeting of AKP in which the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was elected as the general leader was blocked, Mustafa Reşit Burkan applied to European Court of Human Rights so that the congress be canceled and the leadership of Erdogan be dropped.
He told his notarized petition was not taken into account although he was to be nominee so he accused the leadership of the Prime Minister Erdogan of being unfair.
He told that he is hopeful about the case and he wishes the court to demand damages. These lines below took place in his application:
"Although I wanted to present one copy of my petition which I had sent officially, I was hindered by the members of the party and some police officers waiting in front of the door. They kept me in a room until the end of the congress. So the congress was held contrary to regulations of AKP Congress Regulations and the Political Parties Law which requires it to be cancelled.
