ANKARA (DİHA) -The Peace and Democratic Solution Group sending letters to parties of the triad summit to be held among Turkey, Iraq and the USA expressed they had expected a solution for the Kurd Problem and a political, peaceful and democratic approach towards KONGRA-GEL to come out of the peak. It is emphasized in the letters that the Kurd People have expectation a peace and dialog-based solution in place of war and violence decisions will be decreed in the triad negotiations, and that a Peace and Dialog Committee in which the whole of sides will be represented should be formed.
The agende issue of the tripartite talks between Turkey, Iraq and the USA is awaited to be KONGRA-GEL. While the ruling Justice and Development Party anticipate a common military operation from the summit, the Iraqi and American administrations have not made any declarations on the issue. The Peace and Democratic Solution Group was formed by those who came to Turkey with their guns upon Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan's call made after the PKK withdrew its armed forces behind borders. The Peace and Democratic Solution has transmitted their demands to the 3 parties.
'Solution of the Kurd Problem brings stability to the region'
The letters written Turkish and Kurdish have been faxed to American Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, William Borns, his Iraqi counterpart Hamit El Bayati, Turkish Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nebi Şensoy and Turkey's ambassador to Baghdad Osman Korutürk. The epistles entitled ''Open Letter to the Governmental Officials of Turkey, Iraq and the USA say the Kurdish public was following the summit to be made in Ankara at close distance. Each step taken forward to solve the Kurd Problem will render the region more peaceful and strengthen stabilization in the area stating letters reminds KONGRA-GEL has an approach to resolve the Kurd Question on peaceful, political, democratic and mutual grounds. The communications say as a result of this approach, the PKK started a unilateral cease-fire in 1999 and has targeted a peaceful and democratic solution for within the frame work of the problem in consideration in the last 6 years. Two groups has been sent to the Turkish state to make contributions to the solution but the other armed forces of KONGRA-GEL coming Turkey has not realized for lack of political and legal regulations.
'May peace comes out of the peak not combat'
The statement "We hope you will announce a political volition backing a political, peaceful and democratic solution not only for the solution of the Kurd Problem but also for the approach towards KONGRA-GEL'' takes place on the letters underlying that it will be the most realistic and beneficial attitude for all parties to take the question with contemporary methods excluding violence in hand and to improve such a conceptual initiative.
'Peace and Dialog committee for Peace'
The Group recommends that a peace and dialog committee to be formed will make easy the solution of the problem.
