‘None of Kurdish conference would be productive without PKK’ 15:15 08.04.2009 ABDULLAH RAMAZAN / SERBAZ SİYAMEND HEWLÊR (DİHA) – “None of conference would be acceptable without contribution of the PKK” said Felaketin Kakai, a Cultural Minister of Federative Kurdistan Region when he was evaluating expected Kurdish National Conference in Hewler on end of April. Evaluating Hewler Kurdish National Conference Minister Kakai said; “without participation of PKK or DTP in any possible conference would be unfruitful and unacceptable since Kurdish problem is dominant factor in North Kurdistan. Mentioned conference, where expectedly 120 years Kurdish struggle and peace conditions are going to be discussed to reach a common will, is our agenda since 1982.” There was a mistake to force pre-condition for holding conference said Kakai referring 1982 negotiations to organize a Kurdish conference. “Firstly any of pro-Kurdish party stays out of the conference project. Otherwise there would be no fruitful results. Secondly all political organizations have to accept others since this process is a dialog process to recognize others. To force some of them quitting the guns is not the issue which we need to discuss in this conference. Reviewing 120 years Kurdish struggle since Sheikh Ubeydullah term in the conference must be essential topic as well as peace conditions.” Culture Minister Kakai especially emphasized that PKK or DTP have to participate in future possible conference, saying; Kurdish problem dominated in North Kurdistan. To insist on keeping DTP or PKK out of the conference create an inconclusive meeting even though this reality. Some decision certainly would be made by all participator groups after gathering entire Kurdish political organizations. There is also another thing, which all Kurds have to consider about it, that Kurds have to share their thinking about how Kurd’s benefits are going to be protected said Felaketin Kakai in addition “election’s results have showed us a sign that time is ripe for an international conference. Turkish government has to recognize Kurdish struggle and apologize for what they did against Kurds by announcing an amnesty and releasing Abdullah Öcalan and other political prisoners. As all can see that Kurds’ peace will is really very powerful. (gü)
