İSTANBUL (DİHA) -IF independent Movies Festival continues with dense concern of movie fans. While the period of festival had been extended to 2 February, the actress of leading role of movie of ' To forget Cheyenne' Mila Dekker is in Istanbul as a guest of festival.
IF Independent Movies Festival continues to meet independent film makings with spectator. On dense interest the festival had been extended 5 days. The actress of leading role of the movie of '' To forget Cheyenne''- shown in the section of 'Rainbow movies'' which there are gay and lesbian movies- Mila Dekker is in Istanbul as a guest of the festival. The film tells the story of escape of journalist Cheyenne who struggles against unemployment in France. Against Cheyenne who sees capitalist system as a main guilty for the situation she is in, an idealist teacher Sonai which she has a lesbian relation took part in the society.
The story which love and ideals are put on table and turns into buble of complex relations seeks the answer how love has a place in circle of our life which is going to be ordinary. The movie with the relations between characters which it presents naturally, presents a critical perspective to political climate of contemporary Europe.
' The unemployment in France is like nightmare'
Mila Dekker who represents a good acting had answered questions of spectators after her movie was shown in the scope of IF. Dekker who states that the film is shot with great financial and some problems about comtent stated that Cheyenne which she impersonates matches with a sense and situation rather than a character.
Dekker who stated that inquiry is not made in the society said that sometimes it is healthier to look at from outside. Dekker, to the question about social situation which france is in, said that ''unemployment in France is like nightmare. There is an unemloyment pay but it becomes very inefficient against rising prices.''
The young actress who expressed that Cheyenne being as journalist in the film is not an accident said that the character thereby analyses the situation world is in more truly and started to question the system.
Dekker, on the question that lesbian relationship is in the foreground, said that '' Two scenarist wrote this in the beginnig as love of man and woman, and later by thinking that this rebellion can result from a love between two woman, gave such a decision.
Dekker later asked the comments of the spectator about the film. The spectators said that the film is watched hardly, and returning of Cheyenne who escapes from system to the city for her love does not fit to spirit of the film and it is disturbing. Some spectators also express their uneasiness about the lesbian relation which is very much in foreground.
Dekker who is a young actress of France and promising has a origin of theatre. She had continued in new York Actors Studio as well as with famous players of France.
