MUŞ (DİHA) - The inhabitants of Varto enjoyed listening to the concert given by the Brother Songs within the context of Kog Hill Fest in Mus. To the fest, the famous poet Ahmet Telli participated as well and said: "Mother Tongue Education is an important criterion of democracy. People in Holland are proud of themselves as they are speaking more than 70 languages but in Turkey Kurdish is banned, its mythology is a matter of fear and then they claim that they are in the way towards democracy. This is not something that we can support ethically and as human beings."

In the third day of the fest held for the third time by the Municipality, other than Ahmet Telli, another famous poet Lal Laleş met with the readers and the music group Brother Songs turned the listeners on. During the conversation with his readers, Ahmet Telli claimed the poetry as the appeal and scream in places where the languages were suppressed. "Poetry is an ethic and life style rejecting dominance of everything. Thus, Turkish has enriched itself with Kurdish folksongs, Kurdish mythology together with the Kurdish sensitiveness and Kurdish legends. So Turkish owes to Kurdish. From time to time, hostile initiations towards such a brotherhood have been done over the dominance of the ruling powers but we should struggle against that so that it does not anymore." said he.

On the other hand, during the fest Varto City Counsil Folk Dances Group, Berlin Varto Society Music Group, local singers Ahmet Karataş and Koma Weroja Gımgım took scene. In the third day of the fest, the famous music group Brother Song gave their sounding concert. The fest is planned to last 4 days and today the final activities will take place. The lawyer Hasip Kaplan will give a speech in the last day and Agirê Jiyan will give a concert. The fest will end with the watching of dawn.
