The State Theatre gives green light for Kurdish private theatre groups

İSTANBUL (DİHA) – Kurdish plays have been given green light by the state theatres. General Manager of the State Theatres Lemi Bilgin announced that 44 stages in 12 different areas might be opened for the Kurdish private theatres’ plays.



Kurdish private theatres weren’t allowed to perform the Kurdish play in the State Theatres since beginning. There were just the State Theatres’ Kurdish Plays were performed.



Minister of Culture Ertuğrul Günay also had stated that the government leans toward Kurdish Plays to perform in the State Theatres when he was answering DTP Siirt deputy Osman Özçelik’s written question.
